15 years of owner-operated gunite craft.

GoodTimes Gunite Pools isn't a brand wrapped around a sales team. It's Michael Van Cleave Jr. — one name, one phone number, and the same person on every job from estimate to fill day across Johnson and Hood County since 2010.

Michael Van Cleave Jr., owner and builder of GoodTimes Gunite Pools, Godley TX.
The Builder

Michael Van Cleave Jr.

"When you call this number, you're talking to the guy holding the shovel."

Michael founded GoodTimes Gunite Pools in 2010 after years working in the North Texas construction trades. He chose gunite because it's the strongest, most versatile residential pool structure available — and because building something that lasts matches the way he works.

The business is intentionally small. Michael turns down builds he can't personally oversee. Every project on the GoodTimes schedule is a project Michael has walked, quoted, and committed to managing himself — from the first shovel to the startup chemistry walkthrough.

That means when you call (817) 449-3225, you're calling the person who'll be standing on your property at 7 AM on dig day. Same phone number. Every time.
